When videos or recordings don't play right

E-mail Print PDF

1. High Speed Internet is required. These videos are very large files.

2. Check is that you have Adobe Flash installed (which you can get it for free, here).

3. If the video plays with pauses and jerks, it means that your internet connection is too slow for the data feed. In this case press Pause, wait for the video or audio clip to finish downloading, then press Play again.

If you can play videos on YouTube, then you can play the .FLV flash videos. Because the videos on Grassy Roots are much longer, they're going to take more time to download.

4. If the video plays OK but you can't hear it, open your volume control and make sure that all of the volume sliders - Volume, Wave, SW Synth, CD Audio, PC Speaker, etc., are all the way up. This usually fixes the "volume is too low" issue.

If your volume control says "Sounds and Audio Device Properties" then click on the "Volume" tab, then "Advanced," and you'll get the screen.

5. The black dot with four dots around it, in the bottom-right corner of the player screen, is the zoom control to play videos in full-screen mode.
